11 Injured In Mahiyangana Road Accident
Eleven people were injured in an accident near the first milepost on the Mahiyangana–Giradurukottha main road.
Police said the accident occurred last night, and the injured were admitted to the Mahiyanganaya Hospital.
The victims were part of a group traveling to Badulla after a pilgrimage to Anuradhapura.
According to police, the accident was caused when the van driver fell asleep at the wheel.
Those involved were residents of Kailagoda, Badulla.
Among the injured are five males, including a 10-year-old child, and six females.
