Health Ministry to Broaden Health Services Provided at Rural Hospitals
The Ministry of Health is set to broaden the availability of specialist medical services to rural hospitals.
Deputy Minister Dr. Hansaka Wijayamuni says that, until now, specialist services has only been accessible at base hospitals and higher-grade hospitals, limiting access for rural communities.
The pilot project will launch next month at six hospitals in the Kandy district.
