Daughter arrested on suspicion of murdering her mother in Kahawatte.
The daughter of the woman who was found murdered in Welladura Kahawatte, has been arrested on suspicion of committing the crime.
Police say that the 38-year-old woman was arrested early on Saturday (16).
71-year-old Vineetha Jayasundara was found murdered after her throat was slit, on the 13th of December.
She was a mother of three.
Police suspect that she had been murdered in the living room, and her body had been dragged out through the front door to the back yard of the house.
