With the alarming announcement coming out with regard to breakout of a new wave pandemic of Covid 19, swift action have been taken on Strathspey Estate Upcot by educating the worker community, population to adopt to health care activities such as wearing mask, washing hand with approved sanitizer, maintaining distance, checking temperature of workers prior to reporting for work in the morning at the field and factory.

Individual workman’s temperature is checked and recorded before allowing them to commence their work.

Health and Welfare Staff, Child Development Officers working on this plantation are providing yeoman service in this regard. All precautionary measures are being taken to train the masses to get used to living in the new normal way.

Frequently washing hands with approved disinfectant, wearing masks and maintaining distance have been made mandatory and all the required facilities being provided in this regard.

Management of Strathspey Estate which is coming under the purview of Maskeliya Plantations Plc., owned by Aprico Group of Companies in collaboration with Government Medical Personnel of this area such as MOH, Public Health Inspector is providing all required guidelines in this regard.
