Vegetables at concessionary prices at 75 Sathosa outlets
A program to sell vegetables at concessionary prices was launched in 75 Lanka Sathosa outlets in the Western Province.
The Ministry of Finance announced that vegetables will be sold at concessionary prices at 26 locations in the Colombo District, 41 locations in the Gampaha District and eight locations in the Kalutara District.
The Ministry of Finance stated that vegetables such as carrots, leeks, beetroot, pumpkin, eggplant, raw chillies and cabbage are available here.
Meanwhile, the government has facilitated the supply of potatoes at a lower price and is also focusing on providing a fair price for the potato production of local farmers, the Finance Ministry said in a statement
