No Changes to Ex-Presidents’ Security
A decision has been made to reassess the security arrangements for former presidents.
This decision was reached during a review committee meeting held yesterday.
Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya stated that the security adjustments will be made following a reassessment of the threats faced by former presidents.
Until then, the current security protocols will remain unchanged.
Acting IGP Weerasooriya also addressed rumors regarding the withdrawal of security for former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, clarifying that these claims are false.
