Daily COVID numbers in India on the rise
In the Indian state of Maharashtra, which is most affected by the coronavirus, 25,843 new corona infections were reported in the past 24 hours.
It is the highest daily number of infections reported from the state of Maharashtra since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
It is also the epicenter of the second COVID wave in India.
Yesterday, 58 corona deaths were reported from the state.
With the new wave of coronavirus, all social, cultural, political and religious gatherings in the state of Maharashtra were banned.
The total number of COVID infections in India has now crossed 1513,000 and the number of deaths is 159,405
