Sinkhole Causes Major Traffic Disruption in Borella-Parliament Road
A sinkhole has caused major traffic disruptions on the Borella-Parliament Road in Colombo.
Police have implemented a traffic plan to mitigate the impact of the incident.
Vehicular movement near Tickle Road, between Model Farm Junction and DS Junction, has been hampered due to the sinkhole.
Authorities estimate that it will take approximately 20 days to complete the necessary repairs.
As a result of this, both entry lanes to Parliament Road from Colombo have been closed.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to enter the city during this period.
The public is urged to comply with traffic regulations and follow the directions of police personnel deployed at the site.
