Second phase of census for the "Aswesuma" Welfare Benefit Program, now underway
The second phase of census for the "Aswesuma" Welfare Benefit Program is now underway.
According to the Welfare Benefits Board, officials have begun the census process in response to 450,000 applications received to date.
The Nuwara-Eliya district has reported the highest number of applications so far.
The Welfare Benefits Board aims to conclude the census for the second phase of the "Aswesuma" Welfare Benefit Program by July 31.
