President to make a special statement in Parliament today
President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to make a special statement in Parliament today concerning debt restructuring.
Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapakse announced that the President will make this statement at the commencement of the parliamentary session at 9:30 am.
Following the President's statement, the parliamentary session will adjourn.
Additionally, following a decision made during party leaders' meeting yesterday, it was agreed not to proceed with the parliamentary debate on the debt restructuring agreement originally planned for today and tomorrow.
