Workers’ remittances increase to USD 544.4 million in May
The inflow of workers’ remittances to Sri Lanka has exhibited an improvement in recent months with the country recording an inflow of USD 544.4 million for May 2024.
According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the cumulative figure for the period from January to May 2024 is USD 2,624.4 million.
This is an increase of 11.8% compared to the same period last year.
