University Non-Academic Staff Strike Enters 22nd Day
The strike launched by university non-academic staff in Sri Lanka continues for the 22nd day today.
Co-Chairman of the Joint Committee of University Trade Unions Dhammika S. Priyantha expressed disappointment at the lack of progress in negotiations with the government over demands for increased allowances and a reversal of salary cuts.
The ongoing strike has significantly disrupted operations at all state universities and higher education institutions across Sri Lanka.
