Sri Lanka Seizes Rs. 365 Mn Rupees from Chinese Man Involved in Illegal Gem Exports
The Colombo High Court confiscated 365 million rupees from the bank account maintained by a Chinese Man.
A case was filed against the Chinese national for engaging in the illegal export of gems to China.
The case was heard before Colombo High Court Judge Navaratne Marasinghe, who also imposed a fine of Rs. 500,000/- on the concerned Chinese national.
The illegal gem export activity has been ongoing since 2018.
