Yala season water distribution underway..!
The Department of Irrigation says that it has commenced the release of water for cultivation of the Yala season.
Its Water Management Director Wimal Rathnasiri says that the water levels of the country's 73 main reservoirs are at 90%.
He went on to add that the release of water has been commenced for about 20 projects so far.
Rathnasiri went on to note that water will be provided to all 387 projects under the Department of Irrigation, for the Yala season.
