
Dry Weather Fuels Whitefly Spread in Coconut Plantations, Warns Research Institute
The Coconut Research Institute (CRI) issued a warning today about the growing threat of whitefly disease in coconut plantations, attributing the increase to the prevailing dry weather conditions.
Nayani Arachchige, Deputy Director of Research at CRI, highlighted the connection between dry weather and heightened disease prevalence.
She also outlined control measures to help farmers protect their crops.
