Justice Minister Eyes Kandakadu Management Revamp After Inmate Brawl Leaves 24 Hurt
The Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, has hinted at a potential change in the management of the Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre following recent conflicts.
This decision stems from the clashes between inmates on January 12th, which resulted in 24 injuries.
The Minister said that a detailed report on the incident is being awaited before any discussions or concrete actions regarding the management change are taken.
