Postal workers' strike continues.
The all-island token strike launched by postal workers is underway on Monday (11).
Joint Convener of the Joint Postal Trade Union Collective Chinthaka Bandara said the strike was launched against the sale of buildings belonging to the Department of Posts to foreign companies.
He said 27,000 postal workers had joined the strike.
He added that the strike was also launched demanding an allowance of Rs.20,000 for government employees, from January 2024.
The nationwide postal strike which was launched at 4.00 pm on Sunday (10) will continue till midnight on Tuesday (12).
