Ministry Warns Against Job Scam Targeting Israel
The Ministry of Labour and Foreign Employment has issued a warning to the public, urging them not to give money to any external party promising job opportunities in Israel.
Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara emphasized the seriousness of the scam, saying that anyone found to have paid such money will be deemed ineligible for any official job opportunities in Israel.
The Ministry has received reports of individuals posing as agents and demanding money in exchange for securing employment in Israel.
The Ministry clarifies that only government-approved fees are required for obtaining legitimate employment in Israel.
Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment is the sole entity authorized to collect these fees.
