Disinfection process commences in Parliament
Parliament premises to undergo a complete disinfection process today (26) and tomorrow (27).
Parliament will remain closed today and tomorrow given that the Parliament premise is being subjected to disinfection as announced by the Secretary General of Parliament Mr. Dhammika Dasanayake.
The Secretary General further stated that the decision to disinfect the Parliament complex was taken following a recent report that a police officer attached to the Police Division of the Parliament of Sri Lanka had been infected with the COVID-19 virus.
Accordingly, the Parliament will resume its normal duties from next Wednesday, the 28th of October and the services of the Secretariat will be available for the Members of Parliament commencing from the said date onwards.
