
No danger to Sri Lanka due to 6.1 magnitude earthquake.
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has been reported in the Southeast of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean today.
The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said that the earthquake has been recorded nearly 800 km Southeast of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean.
The Bureau further said, however, that there was no danger to Sri Lanka due to the earthquake.
