No hike in bakery prices - Bakery Association.
The All Ceylon Bakery Owners' Association has raised concerns about the bakery industry's struggle to sustain itself due to the escalating gas prices.
The sale of bakery products has witnessed a significant decline of 25%, Chairman of the All Ceylon Bakery Owners' Association N K Jayawardena said.
Despite the rising gas prices, Jayawardena emphasizes that the industry will refrain from increasing the cost of bakery products.
Effective today, Litro Gas has implemented a price hike for its domestic gas cylinders.
The price of a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder has increased by 95 rupees, bringing the new price to 3,565 rupees.
Similarly, the price of a 5 kg gas cylinder has been increased by 38 rupees, with the new price being 1,431 rupees.
For a 2.3 kg liter gas cylinder, the price has risen by 18 rupees, resulting in a new price of 668 rupees.
