Overseas job scam : Woman arrested for defrauding nearly Rs. 4.2 Mn.
A 46-year-old woman has been arrested for defrauding nearly Rs. 4.2 million from the public promising overseas employment.
The Police stated that 06 complaints have been received thus far against the woman, who is a resident of Kesellwatte in Panadura North.
The woman was arrested last evening by a team of officials from the Panadura North Police.
