A total of 166,938 students are eligible to enter state universities as per the results of the G. C. E. Advanced Level examination that were released on Monday (4).

That is 63.3% of the total number of students who faced the examination.

In addition, the results of 84 students were withheld by authorities.

Here's a look at the top scorers of the G. C. E. Advanced Level Examination:

Dilsarani Tharushika of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo secured the number 1 island rank in the Commerce stream with the Best Results of 2022 A/L exam.

Maneth Banula Perera of Royal College, Colombo secured the best results in the Physical Science stream.

Pramodhi Bhashani Munasinghe of Sujatha Vidyalaya, Matara secured the best results in the Bio Stream.

Sachini Sathsarani from St.Joseph Girls College, Kegalle secured the best results in the Arts Stream.

Samuditha Nayanapriya of Richmond College, Galle secured the best results in the Engineering Technology stream.

Ruchini Ahinsa Wickramaratne of Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo secured the best results in the Technology Stream.
