Final Randoli Perahara to light the streets of Kandy today.
The highly anticipated final Randoli Perahera of the Esala Perahera is set to grace the historic Temple of the Tooth in Kandy on Wednesday (30) evening. This grand spectacle will feature the participation of numerous dancers and adorned elephants from the Sabaragamuwa and Udarata.
The ongoing Esala Perahera at the temple of the tooth, which commenced on the 21st of August 2023, has garnered immense attention as a major cultural event in the nation.
Amidst the preparations, local authorities have taken significant steps to ensure safety and order. The police have announced the implementation of a dedicated traffic and security plan across Kandy city for the entire day, in light of the final Randoli procession. Additionally, special bus and train services continue to operate to facilitate devotees eager to witness this grand event.
