Special transport arrangements in place during Kandy Esala Perahera season.
The Department of Railways says that several special train journeys will be carried out starting on Saturday (26) on the occasion of the Kandy Esala Perahera.
Railways Deputy General Manager (Traffic) M. J. Indipolage said that the itineraries will continue from Saturday (26) until the end of the Perahera season.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board says that special bus services are in place, in conjunction with the Esala Perahera in Kandy.
The board said that about 350 buses have been put into operation for that purpose.
