Woman killed after being knocked by private bus in Fort.
A woman has been killed after being knocked over by a private bus near Lotus Road in Colombo Fort yesterday (19)
The private bus plying from Fort towards Pettah has knocked on the pedestrian walking along the side of the road, the Police said in a statement.
After being critically injured in the accident, the woman had been admitted to the National hospital where she has succumbed to her injuries. The identity of the woman is unknown as of now, the Police further said.
Fort Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the driver of the bus regarding the accident.
