A health guideline for travellers that enter SL - Mahinda Amaraweera (Video)
Environment Minister Mahinda Amaraweera recently commented regarding the pilot project implemented to bring down foreign travellers to Sri Lanka in an attempt to revive the tourism industry.
He stated that the pilot project was a much talked about topic in the country and that we are unable to keep the country closed for an outsider for longer as it has a negative impact on the tourism industry.
The minister pointed out that this is a pilot programme and the Government recognize and acknowledge any shortcomings in the programme.
He stated that by implementing the project, they hope to formulate a programme that can be applied not only on Ukraine nationals but on travellers of other nations that are hoping to travel to Sri Lanka.
