Renowned cricketer and UNICEF Regional Goodwill Ambassador for South Asia, Sachin Tendulkar, is set to attend an event at the Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Tuesday, 8 August 2023.
The event aims to shed light on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic crisis on the lives of children in the region.
The global pandemic, coupled with economic challenges, has left an indelible mark on the lives of children across Sri Lanka.
Through his role as a UNICEF Regional Goodwill Ambassador, Sachin has been committed to promoting child rights, protection, and development across the South Asian region. His visit to Sri Lanka allows him to engage with UNICEF programs that are actively working to improve the lives of children in areas such as health, education, and protection.
