Select Committee probing bankruptcy to summon Uni Deans.

Deans of the Department of Economics of all Universtities have been summoned before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Sri Lanka's Bankruptcy on Wednesday (02).

The opinions of the Deans will be sought before compiling the final report, Chairman of the Select Committee SLPP MP Sagara Kariyawasam said.

The activities of the committee will be conducted transparently, he added.

The Parliamentary Select Committee to probe Sri Lanka's Bankruptcy was appointed on July 6.

Other members of the committee chaired by MP Sagara Kariyawasam include MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage, MP Jayantha Ketagoda, Minister Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi, MP Sanjeeva Edirimanna, MP Ranjith Bandara, State Minister D.V. Chanaka, MP Pradeep Undugoda, and MP Nalaka Kottegoda representing the government.

Others from the Opposition include MP Eran Wickramaratne, MP Ashok Abeysinghe, MP Harshana Rajakaruna, MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickam, and MP Vijitha Herath.
