Renovated northern railway line opens : new speed 100KMs per hour.
The renovated railway line from Anuradhapura to Omantai officially launched for public transport today.
“Air-conditioned luxury carriages added for the test run with a speed of 100 kms per hour” Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.
The 48.5 km long Anuradhapura – Vavuniya line has been upgraded through an upgrade project under an Indian line of credit.
