Accident : Former State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran in ICU.
Former State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran has been hospitalised following an accident in Mudalama, Puttalam today.
According to reports, Vijayakala Maheswaran and three others were injured after the van they were travelling in met with an accident.
The former State Minister is reportedly receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Chillaw Hospital.
The accident has taken place while Vijayakala Maheswaran was travelling from Jaffna to Colombo.
The vehicle is said to have moved onto the opposite lane and crashed into a tree in the Mangala Eliya area in Mundalama.
