Meeting to decide on weekend Parliamentary session postponed to Friday (30).
The meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs set to be held on Tuesday (27) was postponed to Friday (30).
The meeting will be held at 09:30 am on Friday under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
A final decision on convening Parliament during the weekend to get Parliament’s approval for domestic debt restructuring will be made at the meeting.
Reports suggest that MPs of the ruling faction have been advised to refrain from traveling overseas or outstation during the weekend.
