700 dengue cases recorded in three days; Dengue High Risk Zones declared.

Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health says there is a high risk of dengue spreading across the country, due to the inclement weather situation.

So far this year, 25 dengue related deaths have been reported, while 700 dengue cases were recorded in the past three days.

A total of fifty-five MOH Division across fifteen districts have been identified as Dengue High Risk Zones.

MOH Divisions in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Matale, Hambantota, Galle, Matara, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Puttlam, Kurunegala, Kegalle and Ratnapura Districts have been identified as Dengue High Risk Zones.

Over 30,000 dengue cases have been reported in the country so far in 2023.
