Railway operations returning to normalcy
Sri Lanka Railways said train operations are returning to normalcy.
The Railway Control Room said many long-distance trains have resumed operations.
Railway services resumed after the strike launched by station masters and controllers was called off at midnight on Thursday (11).
The strike was called off following a discussion with transport officials, chaired by Minister of Transport and Highways Dr. Bandula Gunawardana.
State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna also attended the discussion which was mediated by former Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.
Train operations were disrupted due to the strike launched by station masters and controllers on Wednesday (10) and Thursday (11).
