Battle of the Blues scheduled for late October
The 142nd cricket encounter between the Royal College in Colombo and St. Thomas’ College in Mount Lavinia is scheduled to be played from October 28 – 30, without the participation of spectators, the Joint Match Organizing Committee said.
Dubbed the ‘Battle of the Blues’, the cricket encounter was originally set to be played behind closed doors at the Sooriyawewa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota from May 06 - 08.
The match was later rescheduled for September, however, it had to be postponed for a second time due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Sri Lanka.
