Over 100 GN areas in 11 districts isolated - strict travel restrictions enforced
More than 100 Grama Niladhari Divisions in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Trincomalee, Moneragala, Ampara, Matale, Galle, Kurunegala, Polonnaruwa and Ratnapura Districts have been isolated.
Meanwhile, Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena stated that travel restrictions have been tightened in isolated areas.
The government has also decided to close schools islandwide until the 7th.
Also, all Catholic and Anglican schools will be closed until the 7th of this month. Dhamma schools have also been closed indefinitely due to the current Coronavirus epidemic.
