Govt introduces relief packs via Sathosa, public to save Rs. 410 from 12 items
The Co-operative Wholesale Establishment commenced issuing relief packs consisting of 12 essential commodities for Rs. 1000 from today.
The relief packs are being provided via Lanka Sathosa outlets across the country.
Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena told reporters that the relief packs have been introduced in view of the April New Year.
He said the public will be able to make a saving of Rs. 410 via these relief packs.
The newly introduced relief packs will consist of 3 kilos of rice, sugar, lentils, flour, salt, sprats, soya meat, chilli pieces, a pack of tea leaves, and a face mask. (NewsWire)
