Ravi granted bail over 2016 March 31 bond scam
Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has been released on bail in connection to the case pertaining to the Central Bank bond scam.
The Colombo High Court today released Karunanayake along with the six other suspects accused in the scam.
Karunanayake was arrested last month in connection to the second auction carried out by the Central Bank on 31st March 2016.
The suspects have been accused of misappropriating Rs. 15 million through the bond auction.
However, Karunanayake has to remain in remand custody as he has only been released from one case pertaining to the Central Bank bond scam.
His imprisonment continues due to the other case filed pertaining to the 2016 bond scam.
