Oversea returnees to be assigned district-wise quarantine centres

The Labour Ministry has taken steps to allocate venues in districts to quarantine migrant workers arriving in Sri Lanka.

Subject Minister, Nimal Siripala de Silva stated that action will be taken in this regard through the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).

About 30,000 Sri Lankan migrant workers have returned to the island and another 20,000 are expected to return.
