112 arrested for narcotic offences islandwide
Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated that 112 persons who were involved in drug trafficking were apprehended during raids that were conducted at various locations across the location.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old male was arrested for selling 'ice' narcotics during a search operation conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau in the Wellampitiya.
At the time of the arrest, the suspect had Rs 870,000 in his possession as well. The Police suspect that the cash was money that was earned from the sale of narcotics.
Furthermore, another person was arrested with 15 grams of heroin during a search operation conducted by the Organized Crime Division in the Grandpass area. He is set to be produced before the Court today (25)
