Health Ministry announces new qurantine regulations for travelers arriving from Overseas
The Health Ministry today announced quarantine measures for travellers arriving in Sri Lanka from overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new quarantine measures have been introduced for Sri Lankan citizens/ dual citizens and foreign nationals, and tourists arriving from overseas via Sri Lanka tourism.
It also includes instructions for vaccinated and non- vaccinated travellers arriving in the country.
As per the new guidelines, travellers who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be placed under quarantine after undergoing a PCR tests and will be allowed to leave soon after a negative PCR test.
Those who have received only the first dose of the vaccine and undergoing quarantine at hotels will require to undergo 07-days quarantine at the hotel and another 07-days home quarantine.
However, those undergoing quarantine at Government run quarantine centres, will be required to follow 10- days quarantine at the centre and four days home quarantine. (NewsWire)
