Gampaha District reports highest number of COVID patients yesterday
Among the 940 COVID patients reported yesterday (12), the highest number of COVID patients were identified from the Gampaha District which was 278 patients.
From the Colombo District, 261 cases were reported, while 79 cases were reported from the Kalutara District.
Since the beginning of the second coronavirus wave on 04 October, from the Colombo District 27,243 COVID patients were reported.
During the same period, 14,865 COVID patients were reported from the Gampaha District, while 5,652 COVID patients were reported from the Kalutara District.
The total number of COVID cases in Sri Lanka stands at 74,056, while 66,984 have recovered with 6,688 still receiving treatment.
