First report of COPE to be tabled in Parliament
The first report of the new session of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) is due to be tabled in Parliament today.
It was chaired by Prof. Charitha Herath, Member of Parliament.
The report will include six special reports of the Auditor General examined by the COPE Committee.
It also includes the report on the procurement of coal by the Ceylon Coal Company for the Lak Vijaya Power Plant in Norochcholai from 2009 to 2016.
Special audit reports on the Central Expressway project, operations at the Lakvijaya power plant and pollution in the Kelani River are also included in the COPE report
