State Vesak Festival to be held at Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed to hold the State Vesak festival at the Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya in Jaffna this year.
That was during a discussion held at Temple Trees yesterday afternoon.
Attention was drawn to organize it involving 65 temples and 35 Dhamma schools in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office states that it was decided to organize this year's Vesak Festival in collaboration with other religions as opposed to the traditional Vesak festival.
