Report regarding COVID immunity of Colombo residents to be handed over to MOH
The report of the research conducted by the Institute of Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on the people who have developed immunity against the coronavirus in the people of Colombo is due to be handed over to the Ministry of Health next week.
Institute Director Dr. Chandima Jeewandara told the Hiru News team that research was carried out to determine whether antibodies were formed in the blood samples of first-class COVID-19 patients reported from Colombo.
Dr. Jeewandara stated that the research data could be used effectively in the vaccination process as well.
