Highest number of COVID deaths reported yesterday

The highest number of deaths due to COVID-19 were reported yesterday (17).

With the report of 13 new COVID death, the death toll increased to 422.

The details of the victims are as below.

A 46-year-old female from Nuwara Eliya died at the Nuwara Eliya District Hospital. The cause of death was identified to be COVID-19 infection and kidney disease.

A 65-year-old male from Agarapathana died at the Nuwara Eliya District Hospital. The cause of death was identified to be asthama caused by COVID-19 infection and diabetes.

An 86-year-old male from Peliyagoda died at the Colombo General Hospital. The cause of death was identified to be Covid pneumonia, heart disease and kidney disease.

An 83-year-old male from Bombuwala died at his residence. The cause of death was identified to be pneumonia conditions and high blood pressure with Covid infection.

A 76-year-old male from Kalutara died at his residence. The cause of death was identified as an acute asthma condition, Covid infection and lung cancer.

A 69-year-old male from Neboda died at his residence. The cause of death was identified as blood poisoning, Covid 19 infection and acute diabetes.

A 63-year-old male from Maggona died at his residence. The cause of death was identified as heart disease and high blood pressure with Covid 19 infection.

An 81-year-old male from Kalutara North died at his residence. The cause of death was identified as Covid pneumonia and High blood pressure.

A 72-year-old male from Kalutara North died at his residence. The cause of death was identified as blood poisoning and heart disease with Covid-19 infection.

A 69-year-old male from Gampola died at the Gampaha Base Hospital. The cause of death was identified as Covid-19 infection, lung disease and high blood pressure.

A 74-year-old male from Panadura died at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. The cause of death was identified as Covid pneumonia, blood poisoning and lung cancer.

An 82-year-old male from We-Uda died at the Theldeniya Base Hospital. The cause of death was identified as Covid pneumonia and acute kidney damage.

An 82-year-old male from Nugegoda died at the Minuwangoda Base Hospital. The cause of death was as acute heart disease and kidney disease with Covid-19.
