Colombo District reports highest number of COVID patients yesterday
Among the 756 COVID patients reported yesterday (16), the highest number of COVID patients were identified from the Colombo District which was 172 patients.
From the Gampaha District, 168 cases were reported, while 64 cases were reported from the Kalutara District.
Since the beginning of the second coronavirus wave on 04 October, from the Colombo District 28,112 COVID patients were reported.
During the same period, 15,531 COVID patients were reported from the Gampaha District, while 5,906 COVID patients were reported from the Kalutara District.
The total number of COVID cases in Sri Lanka stands at 77,184, while 70,429 have recovered with 6,346 still receiving treatment.
