Two women dead after tree falls on them
Two women are reported dead after a tree uprooted and fell on them in the Walawewaththa area at Pinnawala, Balangoda.
Police said the two women were plucking tea in the state-owned tea estate when the incident had happened.
They had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Balangoda Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as a 46-year-old and a 47-year-old, both residents of the area.
