Local domestic consumption reduces
The Department of Census and Statistics states that domestic consumption in the country has decreased significantly during the first nine months of last year.
During the same period in 2019, domestic consumption increased by 4.1%, while last year it declined by 5%.
The main reason for this is the restrictions imposed by the global pandemic of the coronavirus.
Analysts point out that restrictions on shopping, restaurant dining, tourism and other entertainment have thus reduced domestic consumption.
However, as people get used to the new generalization, household consumption is expected to grow again in the first quarter of this year
