Sri Lanka legends in action in March, new players to be added

World will once again witness the legends in action as the Road Safety World Series T20 gets underway at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur, India from March 2 to 21.

The first edition of the series had to be postponed after four games on March 11 last year due to the COVID-19 situation worldwide.

All remaining matches of the same tournament will be played in a newly-built 65,000 capacity stadium in Raipur.

An array of stars including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, Bret Lee, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Muttiah Muralitharan will be back in the field to recreate the magic of old in the annual T20 cricket tournament, organized to create awareness towards road safety in the country.

“We leave to India on the 27th of February and play our first game on the 3rd of March. The tournament continues from where it stopped Australia won’t be a part of the tournament due to travel restrictions. However Bangladesh and England have been added as two new entrants. The tournament will start on the 2nd of March and end on the 21st of March.” Sri Lanka Legends Team Manager Shyam Impett told NewsWire.
